​    Even though friends don't always do what you think the may do, you still have to have faith that you will find that one true friend. I think Magpie has learned his lesson, that Dog was a good friend. Magpie realized that Dog really did care about him and is determined to get to back to his friend.

     We always feel that friends should always be there for you, that they should always help you, but sometimes friends don't always do the right thing. In the book Fox, by Margaret Wilde, Dog tries to help Magpie, a bird who has a burnt wing and a Fox who needs a home.  Even though Magpie doesn't trust Fox, he is swayed to leave his true friend, Dog. We see that Dog is a good friend because he is caring and he always believes in his friends.
