Students will be publishing one to two Realistic Fiction stories. The rubric/checklist is found below. Students often struggle to find meaningful ideas for their stories. To help them, we ask them to first make various lists and then to choose something off their lists to write about. The more entries they have the easier it is for them to create a meaningful and well developed story.

Students created lists to help generate ideas:
* Thinking about things they love (people, places and things)
*Remembering the first time....
*Remembering the worst time...
*Remembering the best time...
*Making a timeline of their day...

Graphic Organizers  and Charts to Support Our Writing: Feel free to print out and glue into your notebook as needed or just copy it into your notebook. as best as you can.
